My 4th of July creation!

The Poster I used to have up in my room.

When I was 3 my parents put this poster in my room because every time I heard 'Billy Jean' on t.v. I'd run in front of it and start dancin' (3-year old dancing). One day I was jumping on my bed and ripped it down piece by piece 'cause I thought it was fun.. Later when I realized what I had done I was sorry and started to cry. That would be the last Michael Jackson poster in my room until 1993 when I got my hands on the 'Dangerous' album then I went nuts and it was wall-to-wall Michael Jackson. I wanted to be him or marry him, one of the two that year.. Then by the time I hit junior high and the whole child-molestation and Lisa Marie marriage came to be I'd lost that side of my obsession .. but not my love for his music. I am truly devastated by his death and will always remember when he was my idol.. he still is!

Birthday Celebrating Started yesterday!

My 27th birthday is Saturday (June 20th)

and the festivities all started yesterday with my very festive sis-in-law and niece and some adorable friends of theirs. I was greeted by birthday carolers and by one of my strawberry-lemon cupcakes with a candle glowing on top! oh cute!!

they handed me a birthday bag containing a beautiful book mark, which excited me when I saw it because up until then I'd been using random scraps of paper to keep my place in books. Then following a small square-shaped lemon-grass bar of soap (I really like scented soap..I want to make my own someday) and then the clincher, my very own apron! very "arts and crafts/hand-made" looking, I love it. It goes well with my new found itch to cook phase.. Now I know I belong in the kitchen! Thanks Aurora!

In our department at work we celebrate everyone's birthday by gathering in the meeting room and having dessert, well today is my day and it came as a surprise since I thought maybe tomorrow? (friday) but anyway it should be interesting.

Birthday #27 kinda snuck up on me this year since up until May it was all about planning my wedding, and then dealing with name-changing and updating this and that, rearranging and organizing (well my attempt to) and then all the sudden it's like the 2nd week in June and I start feeling it in the air and the reminder would come and go about the 20th. Now it's here and my loved ones are lovingly reminding me too. It's nice! Since Disneyland is having a free admission on your birthday year I'm taking advantage of that, so you know where I'll be on Saturday!
